I’m on break for seven more glorious days (including the weekend). I desperately need a mental break, so I’m trying not to slip into my old “Thanksgiving Break” habit of spending the entire time grading papers, catching up, and updating my grade book.
There is a pile of books on the floor in my crafting space, paint, ink, and a bin of stamps begging for attention–not to mention the words, words, words in my head needing to come out!
So many things to get into, so little time. But…I’m determined to get my hands stained with ink and paint and stuck to something this week.
What about you? Are you planning any creative adventures this week?
DO IT!! It will refresh you. The house-cleaning or paper-grading won’t mind the delay.

Awesome, I hope you can get some of your creative juices flowing this week! I will most likely be picking up my crochet hook and creating something fun.

I hope art carries you away! Those papers will be graded, they can wait. Art can’t, it has waited too long already 🙂

I’m trying…really, I am!

I know the feeling! Don’t forget you deserve it, you spend a lot of time taking care of other people. And don’t forget you don’t have to make anything beautiful. Just using the stuff and create something that looks like nothing (or even ugly) can give a lot of relaxation too.

I finally figured out what was wrong with my computer not recognizing my DSLR, so I took some pictures that I’m editing and hoping to print and frame. Glad you were able to take that much needed break!

Yay! I hope you blog about them. I give so many prints as gifts to others, but I never think about framing and displaying in my own home. Go figure!
