Trees exhale for us so that we can inhale them to stay alive. Can we ever forget that? Let us love trees with every breath we take until we perish. –Munia Khan
This week–this year, really–has been screamingly exhausting. Trees help me breathe and make it through maddening days. I shot the photo above [with full hands] as I was running errands on campus a couple of days ago. The tree to the right greeted me as I neared my favorite building on campus [the white stone building]–Moran Hall, my academic home. The tree also offered a final moment to “exhale” between tasks.
I am joining Parul Thakur for #ThursdayTreeLove every second and fourth Thursday of the month. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to her latest #treelove post.
Trees are amazing. Today, I am watching the tops of palm trees dance in the wind. Spring is almost here. 🙂

Yes! I can’t wait for spring. I just happened across some palm tree photos I shot many moons ago–in Hawaii.

Wow! You managed to notice (and photograph) the tree despite your busy schedule! It is truly a relaxing sight!

Thank you! I’m sure I made an amusing spectacle for anyone who noticed. Hands full, but taking a shot with my phone camera.

Thank you! I needed the pause. Busy, busy days need a moment with trees.

Yes, I understand the lack of time, but this was well worth the stop. I love the sky behind!

What a lovely shot and so true that we forget that trees exhale so that we can inhale. I love your campus. Must be such a happy place. I would love to work at such a green place 🙂
Thank you for joining this week and yes, happy that you exhaled!
Hope to see you back on the grid tomorrow.

In my busiest moments, I tend to take trees for granted. Yet they stand strong and remind us on some level to breathe and be blessed. I will remember this better having read your post.

Gosh…when, I see them…yes, they call my attention away from what seems so important. Just a little pause helps center me and get me through “the rest. Thanks for dropping in!
