Be kind;
that’s how you
kill the
monsters.

One of my retired colleagues dropped by today and gave beautiful red camellias from her garden to English Department faculty. The rain returned today, so this is a precious gift for a gloomy Monday.
Her kindness also slew some monsters that have been nipping at my toes.
You remind me of a book we used to read to our godkids when they were little: There’s a Monster Under My Bed. In the end, the child and the monster made friends and the book ended with a lovely picture of the monster and the kid tucked up in bed together. Here’s to kindness. We need more of it.

I love what you do to the photos each time. I am sure the real flowers were lovely too.
May all your monsters just go to hell 🙂
I am here today from Microblog Mondays.

I love how you manipulate your photos to make them something else. And this brief poem is stunning. Thank you for your blog, Chandra.

Thank you, Martha. Sometimes, I’m just experimenting. And that was the case this time. I experimented with arrangement, background, and then in apps. I ended up with 3-4 edits I really like. Don’t be surprised if one shows up in your mailbox. 🙂

Oh how lovely. And this is exactly the message we’ve been trying to spread in NZ these last two weeks. Be Kind has been the overwhelming message, in the hope that monsters won’t return.
