“Lanai“
“In the Mountains,” Li Bai (Chinese Poet, 701-762)
You ask me what my idea is, staying in the green mountains?
I smile but have no reply, my heart at peace in itself.
As the peach blossom on the flowing water goes into the unknown,
there is another heaven and earth, not among people.
About the images: Photos from a trip to Maui, Hawaii many moons ago. The photos were shot from a yacht early one evening.
So beautiful! I am in pain today and sick, too. Viewing these photos made me smile. Thank you.

I have never been to Hawaii. These views are so wonderful, especially with the mist. Not like any mountains I have seen on the mainland.

We sometimes see the mountains engulfed in clouds here in Northern Alabama, and I can’t remember where my brother took us when we visited him in San Francisco, but we were up so high up we were literally in the clouds. Visibility was zero and it was sooooo windy and cold.

Thank you, Candace. Lucky shots, really! DSLR was newish to me at the time (2005), so I’m grateful for the way they came out.

So pristine and calm! I love the mountains since I grew up around them. Lived on one, too! Thank you for joining us with this lovely thoughtful post, Chandra.
