Have I been so busy that it has been almost two weeks since my last post? How did we even get to mid-April so quickly?
Whew!
I have been busy, but everything is bursting with color here in Northern Alabama, so I have been taking “small moments” to photograph color. Last week I focused on the dogwood because the trees have been exploding with those gorgeous white blossoms all over the city! Though I have many shots, I cannot resist sharing with you the photo I shared for last week’s 52Frames prompt–nature.
I’m sharing the photo au naturale. It sort of “misses the point” to tamper with the bloom for a “nature” challenge. So, you get the photo in all its speckled glory!

I am joining Parul Thakur for #ThursdayTreeLove every second and fourth Thursday of the month. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to her latest #treelove post.
Hi Chandra,
Your flower photos are getting more and more beautiful. Thank you for letting us see your work!

When I first saw the title of your post, it reminded me of a book my wife just finished reading called, “Speckled Beauty.” Except that the book is about a dog, not a dogWOOD.
I hope these recent storms have not caused too much upheaval in your world. They look really dangerous!

Haha! Nope–not about a speckled dog. 😀 Thankfully, not much upheaval in this area. Whew! PTL!

I’m not sure I have ever known what a “normal” schedule is. BUT…I do hope to get back to the point where I can squeeze out time for the blog regularly. I have LOADS to share!

Love that flower and it’s so gorgeous. So glad you shared this bloom and that shot can be very well a screen saver picture. Thank you for joining. I will go live in sometime for today’s edition. See you around.

I’ve seen plenty of dogwoods, but don’t recall ever seeing speckled dogwood blossoms until now. They sort of remind me of freckles. 🙂 I suppose one person’s “flaws” could be another person’s angel kisses.

I’ll have to look through the many dogwood blossoms I’ve shot through the years and see if there are other speckled ones. “Angel kisses.” That’s sweet.

Beautiful photo. And this expands my mind. On my brief visits to the US I’ve been struck by pink dogwood flowers. I now see that they come in white too. Any other colours?
