When playing music, it is possible to achieve a unique sense of peace. –Daniel Barenboim
Today, I shot a photo of a new colleague, a gifted violinist, as she performed for our chapel service today. She had such a sweet, peaceful expression as she played that I was compelled to pick up my camera. I attempted the impossible–to capture the profound moment when musician and instrument coalesced and conspired to unshackle us from the bonds of this world and invite us into that peace.
This is great Chandra! I can tell she is in “the zone”, one with the music. Love it 🙂

She is such a gifted musician. The audience was enrapt.

I am picturing it Chandra. Although I was not there to witness the person you mention I have had the joy of watching people do that.

Love this! My Dad’s family loved playing music at family gatherings. My Grandpa made violins! I took lessons, but unfortunately I never got the hang of it. The violin is somewhat difficult to learn. My Dad was an excellent violinist, and I still love listening to the violin.

My son plays the viola. Well, he played for about 4 or 5 years, He hasn’t practiced much since the beginning of the pandemic. That saddens me. He plays other instruments, but I hope he picks his viola up again soon.
